Cookbook:Black Bean Paste
Black bean paste is a thick, savory paste made from fermented black soybeans, often used in Asian cuisine. It has a strong, salty, and slightly sweet flavor. In Korean cooking, it's called chunjang and is the base for dishes like jjajangmyeon. In Chinese cuisine, it’s known as fermented black bean sauce and adds umami to stir-fries and sauces.[1]
