Epidemiology

Rare. 1% of all CNS tumors.

Pathology

  • Germinomas - 60% of intracranial germ cell tumors
    Histologically identical to testicular germinoma.

Workup

Secreting germinomas may secrete AFP and B-HCG in serum and CSF. MRI of brain and spine.
