Tenontosaurus was an iguanodont dinosaur, similar to Iguanodon.
What did they look like?
They were large quadruped hadrosaurs. They had front legs similar to a horse's and had very long, rigid, straight tails.
What did they eat?
They ate plants and shrubs.
When did they live?
They lived long before the time of the K-T extinction, during the early Cretaceous time period of the Mesozoic. This was about 115–108 million years ago.
Where did they live?
They lived in the floodplains and forests in what is now the following areas: Montana, Wyoming, and Texas.
How were they discovered?
Tenontosaurus were discovered an American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) expedition in 1903. They were named by a man named Lawrence Barnum Brown
